Assuming what Rudy has is legit, there could be two things that support his behavior.
First, he’s a trained prosecutor. He may be laying this out like he would a court case. First have an opening statement (the podcast today), followed by his witnesses, building a narrative until his closing argument.
Second, he refused to answer whether he was doing this under Trump’s direction. Assuming he is, they may want to get the impeachment stuff out of the way so this doesn’t get lost in the noise, so he’s been asked to slow walk it a bit.
It also sounds like some of the stuff Laura Ingraham has been talking about recently is related to what Rudy has been working on. That being said, it could all be completely off base, but the above is one possible explanation.

The meetings she reported on over the last few days are extremely significant. The "whistle blower" arranged a meeting in the White House in January 2016 with a group of Ukrainian officials, one of which was later working with Chalupa in efforts to stop a trump election. Certainly seems like there could be some relation between what Rudy discovered and the actions of the administration back in DC.
