I keep seeing everyone say these three will not vote to confirm a judge before the election. Fair enough, but my question is why?
So what if they hate trump? Do they hate him enough to Totally sell out The party they claim to be a part of by potentially allowing Biden to appoint a judge, just to spite the president?
I don't agree with "never Trumpers". But surely if there's a limit to how far you'd go to spite the president, wouldn't this be that limit?

They may not do it before the election, but I guarantee they would do it in a lame duck to get the candidate they want, which would be a Roberts clone. Infinitely better than letting Biden pick.

Romney was under threat of recall by the GOP controlled Utah state senate after his Trump impeachment vote. The state senate ultimately decided to vote against recall. I imagine they won't be so nice to Romney this time if he decides to vote against a Trump SC nomination. Make Romney vote. Put him on record.

It's a huge problem for Collins. It will probably cost her the election, and the Dems will get that seat. Collins gets a lot of criticism here, but as far as Republican in seat from Maine, she's probably the best you can hope for. She came up huge for Kavanaugh.
You can always get a better Republican from Utah and Alaska though.

Make them vote and put in on the record as to why they dont think she would be a competent justice.
We have a constitution....and a process to replace a justice. If POTUS nominates let the process move forward.
