This is getting silly.

Spencer is the author of Jihad Watch.

Patreon responded to Robert Spencer Wednesday morning, saying MasterCard required them to remove his account.

Mr. Spencer said this response from Patreon was disingenuous because they had not been emailing him –and they never explained why MasterCard objected to his account or why they had to comply with MasterCard’s wishes, and didn’t answer his request for an explanation.

If you don't like it, start your own credit card company and crowdfunding subsidiary.

Lol, just because it’s not illegal and technically not a free speech violation, doesn’t mean it’s not worthy of criticism.
I fully understand and support the law on this and don’t think it deserves any form of government intervention. It does deserve criticism.
What’s next, Netflix going to start cutting people off because they disagree with them?
Even pedos and murderers need financial services, but we’re seeing PayPal and credit card companies canceling people due to their political beliefs.
ETA: that’s a lazy fricking response.
Eta2: unless you’re being sarcastic, then I apololigize.

Sorry, I didn't mean to make you respond genuinely to my post. I thought the sarcasm was apparent.

Caught it too late. See edit.

Let's get rid of protected classes so that all businesses can have total choice of who they do business with.

So what happens if a gay tranny with a pedo bestiality fetish demands this Spencer guy bake him a cake for his previous life bar mitzvah (calling in the order from Colorado of course)???

I bake the fricking cake, for a premium price of course

Cody Wilson of defense distributed actually tried creating a new patreon for those who got kicked off but the credit card companies would not work with him and he had to shut it down. That is the problem when people really do mean “well if you don’t like it start your own”.

Amen.

Also, when you have websites, credit card companies, PayPal, ISPs, and actual cable and phone companies banning people for political purposes, it would be nearly impossible to start your own thing.
