Whose brother is the Sheriff of Tangipahoa? Which statewide elected politician is from Tangipahoa?

Some frickery is going on. They are wanting to change the laws to allow them to expand on land as well.

It seems like it would have to be in Ponchatoula where 22 crosses the Tangipahoa river or in Manchac next to Middendorfs if they want vehicle access!

South of the prop stop would work for me though

Pretty sure another Governor Edwards went to the Fed pen over this very same casino.

One can always hope, I guess.

Good. Move all those eyesores from north Louisiana. They are a pain in the arse with all the traffic.

I hope it doesn't happen. I don't want a casino 5 minutes from my house.

I don't care if it moves. Never really understood why there are so many in Shreveport/Bossier.

Seems like one in Monroe on the Ouchita would be logical.

The real frickery is the ridiculous laws that restrict them to being on water anyways. In a state full of archaic bs, that pointless distinction may take the cake. Arbitrarily restricting the number of licenses is dumb as well.

Look at the new “boats”. Zero of them are actually on the body of water they are on. Lauberge in BR is in a man made pond on the levee. Pointless.

Texas

same reason why LC has 3 (4 metro with Coushatta)

what income pool is Tangi going to rely on?

BR has a decent casino now with Lauberge and Nola has Harrahs and Boomtown

I googled Tangipahoa just to make sure I remembered exactly where that was. This is the picture that shows up on the search, right next to the map.

I've heard that they are trying to put it off the Robert exit just south of the interstate. There is pit right next to the river there that was dug to build the overpass, if they connect the river to the pit via pipe, then the pit is considered part of the river. Coincidentally there was also a big trailer park built right on the other side of the interstate there, a new gas station was just finished, and tons of new housing going up in that area. Just some rumors I've heard and observations of that area over the past few years, not saying any of this is fact.
