Scalise could win without a runoff if he decided to run IMHO.

How about we mark it down and discuss after the election?

You may be right. I’ll tell you what - you might be surprised about what I do, and who I know and if I’m wrong, it’ll surprise even me.

Shut up, dummy, and stop lying. You’re another one of those entitled “democrats” that thinks way too highly of itself.

I've spoke to people who both know and/or have heard Abraham speak and said he's pretty legit. Sounds like he has legit ideas and is a decent human.

He's one I'm going to watch for.

've heard Rispone's stump speech and he just doesn't have it yet. His speech was hackneyed and not well delivered. I would attribute this to a lack of experience in retail politics and a very poor political staff.

This is true (although I added "yet" because I think he can get there). Rispone is a incredible person -- both personally and as a business leader. And, he has a genuine passion for Louisiana and improving it for future generations.

However, he is new to politics and you can tell he doesn't have a good handle on the working of state government. One weakness in particular is that he doesn't seem to recognize the importance of building coalitions to get anything done. Instead, he talks up bringing better ideas and approaches, as if this is enough. It isn't (because the opponents are too entrenched).

For example: It is an obvious fact to nearly everyone that meaningful tort reform would be hugely beneficial to Louisiana. Yet, it was shot down in committee this week.

Don't get me wrong, if he wins the primary, he's got my vote. But, he has alot of learning to do...

Abraham was a Veterinarian for 10 years before he went back for his MD.
