And it's not just Democrats who do this in LE.
I had an employee once who was a former police officer. She came in enraged one day because she got a speeding ticket (she went everywhere like a scorched bat out of hell) and was apoplectic that she informed the officer that she was a former cop and he gave her the ticket anyway.
Said he "violated the code."
Police officers (and I guess prosecutors as well) are the worst about expecting special treatment from other cops IME.
