There were Democrat groups trying to get Twitter and FB handles banned for perpetuating the joke "Election Day is on Wednesday this year", and it's their side more than the Republican side that would be opposed to party affiliation not being shown on ballots in the voting booth.
Why? While the conservative/Republican side certainly has a segment of uninformed and idiot voters, that percentage is MUCH larger on the Democrat side.
