For talk of finally busting the 2020 election steal being tantamount to "flat Earth theory", the left and its A/V Club in the MSM sure do a lot of work in their constant need to dEbOOnK it...

So, we've gone from:

no fraud
to
no widespread fraud
to
no significant fraud
to
doesn't matter if there was significant fraud, too late

a whole lot of people need to meet their Maker

Yep.

Most liberals and many people at large think the AP is some kind of authority on journalism, like some kind of Jedi Council over all journalism.

The AP is just another news corporation. They are not an association of anything, it's just a name. It could be named Willy's Newspaper Wire Service and it would be more accurate. They are a company that hires journalists all over the world as correspondents so when the Omaha Free Beacon wants to run a story about some crazy shite that went down in Egypt, they can just pay their fee to the AP to run their story instead of sending one of their chimps to Cairo to cover it. That's how the AP operates and makes money. They are not an authority on anything. They are the same thing as Reuters. Reuters and AP are actually competitors.

But most people don't know that. So it is exploited by the bad people. "The associated press has called the election for Joe Biden" as if that is some kind of official statement. "Willy's Newspaper Wire Service has called the election for Joe Biden" doesn't have the same ring to it.

The purple hairs - "but but but the Associated Press says..."

Morons.

Excellent point. The AP anointing of Sleepy on Nov. 7th, 2020 was what got the next chapter of this flaming shitshow on ice rolling.

A year and a half after Joe Biden’s presidential inauguration, Donald Trump is still pushing for decertifying Biden’s win, particularly in Wisconsin.

One of the loudest advocates in the battleground state, a Republican state lawmaker who is running for governor, wants the Legislature to rescind Biden’s 10 Electoral College votes from Wisconsin. The resolution on decertification that he hopes to submit in August claims, despite the evidence, that there was widespread fraud in the election. He said he is not seeking to undo victories by anyone else in 2020, including his own race.

Legal experts, including Republican attorneys, say there is no legal means to decertify the past election and no evidence to support such action.

Nevertheless, decertification continues to be a rallying cry among many Republicans in Wisconsin and elsewhere. Here’s a look at what’s happening.

___

IS DECERTIFICATION POSSIBLE?

Trump continues to make baseless claims about widespread fraud in the 2020 election, even though dozens of lawsuits have failed and multiple reviews, recounts and audits have upheld Biden’s win.

Trump’s latest effort to reverse his loss is focused on Wisconsin, where Biden beat him by about 21,000 votes. The Wisconsin Supreme Court, in a 4-3 ruling this month, said absentee ballot drop boxes are illegal. Those are secure containers that absentee voters can use, usually set up at such locations as government buildings. An Associated Press survey of state election officials nationwide showed that an expanded use of drop boxes due to the coronavirus pandemic did not lead to any widespread problems, including in Wisconsin.

The lack of actual journalism in these opening paragraphs from this AP piece is more Op-Ed than actual reporting. These clowns would fail Journalism 101.
