Looking over de Blasio’s 2017 tax return. Earned $223k in adjusted income and recorded a loss of $12K for his Brooklyn homes, which he rents out. He and Chirlane say they gave just $350 to charity last year. That’s $150 less than they paid their tax preparer.

700 people are talking about this

Mr. Progressive gave just $350 to charity???

Remember when Romney gave over $4 MILLION to charity in 2011 and the Left called him a greedy businessman? LINK

Liberals don’t believe in giving of their own free will. It’s more about forcing others to give against their will.

Cash to charity, charitable donation, or both?

I’ve definitely donated more in charity within one calendar year than this frick likely has in a decade. I just didn’t claim it all.

I'm sure it's some tax code gaming that he claims is unfair to the poor but engages in anyway.

my CPA says you can't record a loss on rentals.

you have costs to acquire said property and you can depreciate them but when it comes to rental property, it's income only...with certain amount of write offs

you can not say you lost income...it's just less income when you don't get rent you projected...

i'd need to see how he lost money on an income property...something doesn't smell right

Charity begins at home. the wife and i just became foster parents to two children, giving us a total of 8 kids, 6 at home, 2 are adults. Two are officially adopted, two are fostered, one is unofficially adopted. The only other charity that we gave to last year was $1K to Ronald McDonald House.

I didn't need to see DeBlasio's tax records to know he's a miserable sack of shite communist.
