Banks hold very little money. For each $1000 dollars in deposit, they turn around and loan out $980.

What happens when 30% of depositors say “OK, if that’s your position, please hand me my money and I’ll be on my way” ?

Crypto is just one of the gateways to social credit system anyway.

That would be quite a trick as well. It's better to keep "what they can do" realistic, so you don't come off as falsely crying "Wolf!" when the wolf actually comes.
