Because it sets a bad precedent that dem presidents could use in the future. Do you really think that these people are bound by precedent? Have you so quickly forgotten the 2016 election and after? You are assuming a level battlefield where both sides adhere to the rules of war, which is not the case.

Do you think Nancy just pulled that gun control emergency declaration out of her arse? It’s clearly been considered by dem leadership in the past.

A Democrat will never be elected again. The Democrat party is dead.

Trump declaring this emergency is constitutional and does not infringe on any one's constitutional rights.

A dem gun grab in the name of emergence violates the 2A. It wouldn't work.

Exactly. And leave it to the Dems to get so mad about an EO that is meant to secure our border that they respond with a threat to destroy your constitutional rights. Are they trying to tell us that a gun grab would be cheaper than a wall? Or is the cost not really a concern of theirs?

They dangle our rights in front of us like a carrot. The smugness is sick.

Our elected Republicans are nearly all bad precedents.

Lol at republicans who still believe their fairplay will ever be reciprocated by dems. If they want to declare a national emergency in the future, they will whether trump does it or not.

So instead of "we shouldn't do it it sets a bad precedent" Is now "well the Dems were going to do it anyway might as well" Boy the goal post moving to protect the orange one is quite comical.

Precedent is set with immigration and already ruled on by liberal courts. They unequivocally stated the President has total control over immigration. of course they meant Obama, but thanks for the ruling guys.

Good luck Nancy with the 2nd Amendment.

Trump offered numerous concessions and Nancy stated No Wall Ever. So, here we are. This is 100% on Nancy. Refused any concessions.

I don't understand actual moderates. Pelosi continues to put ILLEGAL ALIENS ahead of the citizens of the country. There is no disputing this. She doesn't give a single shite about US citizens. They are so unhinged by Trump they would rather the world crumble than give him a win.

So I have zero problem with him trying the emergency. If it works, great. If not. At least he was willing to try unlike the spinless Republicans.

Just wish he would also veto the bill then declare the emergency. He shouldn't allow that crap to move through and he should force the spineless republicans to be on record with an override.

2018 exit polling. Remember that? It showed browns and blacks voting the same way they did in 2016 and 2014 and 2012 and 2010 and 2008. Demographic replacement is a very real thing. Within a single generation from now, the US will no longer be a white majority country. If you weren't fricking retarded, you'd realize what that means.

It all makes sense when you look at it as establishment vs non-establishment, rather than democrat vs republican. This is just further proof that the D's and R's are one in the same.

Obama declared a National Emergency for swine flu in Mexico. Now THAT is audacious! So pompous and FOS he declares for some other country a National Emergency.

But oh, that Trump, he can't do this!

Racist I tell you. Orange-American discrimination at its' worst.

Ive heard this before.. But it was about Republicans..

Neither party is going anywhere. A Dem will be president in 2024, it's just how the cycle works.

Cant trust the Dems either way, so go for it.

Big difference in border invasion than going against the 2nd Amendment.

This speech was a kick in the pants all around.

He should say that taking bad illegals, with illegal guns, will help with the dems "gun control emergency" more than taking guns away from legal citizens who have the right to have them.

Sux more moeny wasnt gotten, and would have been ok with 2.5b. So the shut down was kind of wasteful
