Republican turn out will be HUGE in November if this keeps up.

It's a losing issue for them. Always has been. That's why they've taken to using minors as avatars now. It's desperation and is going to backfire on 'em.

One of my staunch liberal friends said to me the other day, "I have the right to buy a handgun and put it under my pillow to protect myself. No one's taking that away." Not everyone on the left supports gun confiscation. Leftists who support confiscation don't realize that.

I didn't really think about this, but it is a pretty clever way for politicians to set forth a position that they may not want to have to completely own at some future date.

What about the democrats who favor the 2nd amendment but also favor much more stringent gun control laws. That may be a large group.

Most of my liberal friends own guns (it is the Louisiana after all). None of them will ever vote Republican.They would be more likely to vote for a pro-2nd Amendment Democrat though.
