You're not going to build any street cred that way.

It is not a fair system, and it needs to change.

You've said this repeatedly. When a person does this, he or she is a bitch.

You and I both know that you'll do nothing about this and you're going to lie down on this issue and deal with it the rest of your life. Doing that and complaining about it makes you nothing but a little bitch.

I am pro-choice and I agree with this.

How is it that between two equals one has responsibility (the man), and the other has the choices (the woman).

Neither of you have any responsibility (meaning legal, financial) UNTIL the child is born alive.

And, UNTIL that child is born and outside of the mother....you ain't "equally" in this thing.

Its like the Chicken and the Pig in a ham and eggs breakfast: The Chicken is "involved"...the Pig is COMMITTED.

You are obviously appalled that the op has questioned this aspect of our society, yet refuse to address the irrationalities he has pointed out. You are adding nothing to this thread.

Great argument.

Tell me why the current system should stay the same, or just admit you can't defend it.

I do think the woman should have more of a say, but I do agree that the men should have some say as well.

Kinda hung up on this word aren't you. It's in your posts and in your sig quote. Nice way to make your point.

Women have nearly all the say currently.
The man has the choice of cash, check, or garnishment.

If women can walk away from being a mother with a unilateral abortion I want a similar process for men without requiring female permission.

I don't have to do either, because we both know that you're not man enough to do anything about this. The most you'll ever do is sit on a message board and b____ about it. That's all you'll ever do. You'll lie down and take it like a b____ for the rest of your life.

Won't you.

I'll try to be more clear in MY position. Note: I am not claiming I have the "correct" one. Just mine.

1) Two attractive young people are walking around and do not know one another.

Now, She can give her egg to someone or let it pass unfertilized and flush it down the toilet

He can give his sperm to anyone or just spill it in the shower.

2) They meet by chance and have sex ending in fertilization.

Now, She has a "tissue mass" in her. She can decide to keep it or have it removed. She owes nothing to the "mass". Nor, does she owe the dude visitation rights to the mass.

He has nothing in him and owes her NOTHING at this point.

3) She decides to give birth. NOW, both owe something to that child. SHE owes that child support AND owes the dude visitation rights to said child. She owes him some duty in decisions about that child

He owes support to that child.

So, UNTIL the child is born....NEITHER owes anything. Once that child is born...they BOTH have a legal obligation to it.

There is no inequality here.

If I didn't question this horrible system I wouldn't be a man. How dare you question that.

It would be like questioning how feminine a woman was for having a career.

You aren't going to shut down debate with such a sexist technique.

quote:

right to keep it in your pants

I suppose we should just be celibate because the first physical relationship with a woman you aren't her equal anymore should anything happen.

And you aren't going to do anything about this because you aren't man enough. You and I both know this. Admit it. You aren't man enough to take action.

What a terrible slur if someone with the username 'ballscaster' doesn't think I am man enough.

BHP - I know you don't want to go down this path, but combining the above, and

quote:

So, UNTIL the child is born

might lead one to conclude you have defined the problem away, in order to justify a particular practice.

In your mind, does the "tissue mass" have any rights, whatsoever, until it breathes room air? And, if so, what is so magical about that act?

(If I misinterpreted your position, I apologize.)

It's a fact that you're not man enough. You know it. You're too weak. You can't do it. You don't have what it takes. You're going to lie down and just take it for the rest of your life, and there's nothing you can do about it, ever.

This is what man hatred looks like.
This is what misandry looks like.
