Yes, Mitch likes February.
Bring it on you POS. Article says you'll be stripped of leadership by fellow Republicans.
--
McConnell has said that he has not decided on how he will vote in the upcoming trial, though some reports indicate that he may have trouble holding on to his long-held leadership post if he opts to convict former President Trump.
“If he does, I don’t know if he can stay as leader,” one unnamed senior Republican senator said, reported CNN. The lawmaker told the news outlet that “several of his colleagues held similar views and asked not to be named discussing sensitive internal politics.”
Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) stated that he could no longer support McConnell as Senate leader if he voted to convict the former president.
“No, no, no,” said Johnson when asked. “I don’t even think we should be having a trial.”

Do y’all realize what a boon this for the GOP. I’d want this trial to start as soon as possible and last as long as possible. If I’m McConnel I would stage this thing out until the summer. It will eat up all of the Senate’s time and stall Biden’s agenda

No, no. Let it play out. Let the GOPe take Trump to trial.
We want it all exposed.

If Turtle votes to convict Trump and subsequently the GOP ousts him from his minority leadership position....well that would shine a small ray of hope onto the GOP.

Let's drag it out...make it look like they are doing something

It is a huge bluff. He moved it to February to give him leverage to toy with Trump and control Trump's political actions.
He cannot impeach a former President and then remove him when removal is the only thing that would punish Trump. In that Trump could never run for office again; and be stripped of his secret service.
frick you Turtle.

It’s a winner as far as shutting down Biden’s agenda.
But it is a major loser with regards to the party’s ability to pull together as a caucus because you have about 10 members already telegraphing their plan to vote for conviction.

In peach for what? I admit I’ve been paying more attention to porn than to current events.

If it weren't for Trump Turtle would have never won.
As long as Turtle is there the GOPe will not allow anyone but Neocon Nikki. Even if Turtle passed on (he is old) one of Turtle's puppets would take over.

I live in KY and can confirm this. We have a Democrat governor and would have elected McGrath if not for Trump pulling in a 70+% ratio. Frick Mitch

Nothing. Democrats can impeach for nothing now.

They really are trying to make TRUMP even more of a Martyr than he already is.

Get one thing through your head. Majorie's impeachment articles against Biden are DOA. The only way Biden is impeached is if Biden forgets (what he said in public) That he will suddenly have a disease and resign if things get too immoral.

Trump and his base just grow stronger with all of this chicanery.
