Would these payments be prorated? Would a person have to prove a certain % of ancestry in order to get paid?

Reparations are never going to happen. This is just a ploy by the democrats to get votes in 2020.

Once again, the actual bill that was written by Prof Ogletree and floated to the congress stipulated that the money would NOT go to individual black people. It would go to black organizations.
We all know about the NAACP and the United Negro College Fund, but there are hundreds of black organizations that will come screaming out of the woodwork for money.
Since only organizations will receive money (into perpetuity) there is no need to prove ancestry.

I support reparations under the following conditions:
1. Must prove you are a descendent of a black slave
2. Limited to the value of 40 acres and a mule plus X3 for punitive damages
3. Money to picked up at the 1st National Bank of Rwanda.
4. No return to the U.S.A. for the recipient or any of their decendents, EVER.

I love the argument that they are so unjustly treated that they have terrible education and know little history, but they know family history from 200 years ago lol.

Same. I know for a fact that one of my ancestor's used to be a slave. I'm white as frick, though...so I'm curious if I'd get reparations, if the dems stupidly pass a reparations bill.
I don't think I will. Which basically will mean that my ancestors suffering doesn't mean as much as the suffering of other slaves, just because her descendant (me) is white.
