Collins:

“The House rules are being shredded and changed on a daily basis. They say some members might not understand the rules. Believe me, my staff and I fully understand the rules. We are denied access to documents, documents that we are entitled to, not because of the rules but because the parliamentarian simply says we can’t have them. The rules are now not the same as during Clinton. They have been shredded with the sole purpose of not finding truth but for total control. This is a sham. It is an affront. It is an embarrassment.”

Scalise added:

“This is Soviet style proceedings we are seeing here. We had the chair literally coaching the witness, instructing him what to say and what not to say, in plain view of everyone. This is not how things are supposed to work here. This is not how things operate in a free country.”

It is really, truly sad what democrats have done to our government.

What, if anything, are their options? Sue? They've already made a mockery of Congress as it is.

Someone in the media or even someone from the public needs to ask this guy a simple question,

"What are you going to do about it?"

Everyone knows the answer, Nothing.

He is not wrong but when the GOP bends over, grabs their ankles and take it every time you almost can't blame the democrats. There comes a time when you may have to break a few rules yourself to fight back when the other side has thrown out all rules but the GOP doesn't seem inclined to do so.

I never have and never will vote for a democrat in my entire life but I am less than pleased with the GOP nowadays, especially the establishment.

The Republicans need to stop following the rules, record and leak the events from closed doors. Time to flip the script.

Has the GOP ever prevented Democrats from questioning witnesses? Ever?

Exactly. Them going on crying about how the Dems are being mean does little for them.

If the situation was reversed the WB's name would have been all over the news within days for example.

Politics has always been dirty and the Dems have no problem with it. And that is why we are to the point we are after decades of it.

You can't reason with Commies. You also can't expect them to fight fairly.

When did the Dems prevent the GOP members of the relevant committee from asking questions?

During Clinton, Starr did an investigation in secret where Clinton couldn't cross examine witnesses. That's what the house just did. Pelosi didn't have a special prosecutor to gather the info so they did it via committee.

Now things will be held out in the open like in the past, and the President and his lawyers will be able to cross examine witnesses.
