Remembering the Clinton years

I've been reading 'Crisis of Character' by Gary Byrne.
He was a secret service agent assigned to the WH during Clinton's adm.
Some interesting points from the 1st half I've read:
Someone comes to the front gate of the WH and says "I have to speak to the President immediately. It's a matter of life or death." I guess that's not odd. But the fact that it happens multiple times a day means there are a lot of weirdos out there.
Most of Clinton staffers were not qualified to be there. Leon Panetta was the adult in the room and he was great. The rest habitually left docs labeled 'Top Secret' out in the open as they left for the weekend. SS had to pick them up and store them in their locked gun safes until the staffers returned.
Bill was having affairs with dozens of other women at the same time as Monica. None of them seemed to know about the others until Monica got pissed about waiting for half an hour to see him. The SS agent finally told her 'He's dealing with another piece of arse and when he's finished he'll see you.'
She was furious and said 'How could he when he has this?' Pointing to her gorgeous body.
Hillary changed the SS hiring and promotion policy to stress diversity. Women and minorities trumped more qualified white males.
Bill and Hillary avoided each other and were very cold until a camera appeared. Then they were all lovey dovey until the cameras were gone.
The SS found out the jig was up when some of them were listening to Howard Stern on radio when he announced "Hey, guess what's on the Drudgereport today."
Ah, those were interesting times.

I’m not knocking him too hard, but he was Uniformed Division of USSS. They have a lot less inside knowledge. They’re basically police officers who stand guard around the WH. That’s not to say he didn’t see things or talk to agents inside the WH, but he wouldn’t have first person knowledge about a lot of which he speaks.
And I hate the Clinton’s.

No, his duty was access to the West Wing. Not Clinton's office, but you couldn't get to it without access to the WW.
Monica came to him every day without a pass. He would turn her away. She would have a rotating list of excuses:
a. I'm delivering papers to the President.
b. I'm just looking for the bathroom
c. Betty Currie told me to come.
When turned away she would just come back until Clinton and she crossed paths enough that she knew who she was.

Supposed to be a true story
A lady (mid 60's) that comes into my fathers office some claims to have been SS and was on the presidential detail when Clinton was in office. The night he went on national tv and apologized for the Monica cluster he went upstairs afterwards. Hillary was drunk by that time and lit into Bill and was kicking his arse. She was straddle of his chest and working on him while several were trying to pull her off. They finally had enough and drew sidearms and pointed at her, she yelled at them "you are here to protect us and now you are pointing guns at me". Their reply was "we are here to protect the president, not you".
I can't validate anything I've written other than taking the lady at her word. I still find it funny though.

I dunno, but there was a good story about the lamp Hillary threw at Bill. It shattered. But everything in the WH is like a museum piece so it was cataloged and stored in a box. 50 years from now people will see the broken pieces as 'the lamp Hillary broke in a fight with Bill.'

I know a SS agent that is was on Hillary’s team and when her and Bill were in the same town her team would call Bills team when she was headed back home so they could rush whatever skank he was with our before the beast returned home.
