Whatever happened to that version of the left? They used to hate banks, corporations, billionaires, and the wealthy.

They also used to be suspicious of the FBI, CIA, big pharma, the MIC, Wall Street, etc.

It's almost as if all these groups got together, and realized if they just put a rainbow flag on the background of their Twitter profile, they could be completely immune to all criticism.

They sure liked bailing out their rich buddies at SVB at the expense of small community banks too.

They figured out how to conscript corporations using ESG, so capitalism is okay now. It's just another means to their end: the subjugation of the rest of us.

Started in the 60's.

The new left.

quote:

The New Left was a broad political movement mainly in the 1960s and 1970s consisting of activists in the Western world who campaigned for a broad range of social issues such as civil and political rights, environmentalism, feminism, gay rights, gender roles and drug policy reforms.[1] Some see the New Left as an oppositional reaction to earlier Marxist and labor union movements for social justice that focused on dialectical materialism and social class, while others who used the term see the movement as a continuation and revitalization of traditional leftist goals.[2][3][4]

Some who self-identified as "New Left"[5] rejected involvement with the labor movement and Marxism's historical theory of class struggle,[6]

Today's left publicly hates almost everyone.

They hate you if you are:

Rich
White
Straight
Don't believe in global warming
Own a gun

Basically, the Communists have expanded their revolution protocol to get people to not only fight each other over wealth, but to fight over differences in skin color, sexual orientation, and the environment.

You know it's true because the solution for all of these perceived injustices is increased government power and wealth redistribution. Except for the guns. They have to take away your guns so you can't fight back...

That's when they were the outsiders, the counter culture.

They're the status quo now, they hate free speech.

Well, they lost the union workers. Hatred of the rich used to appeal to union workers. I noticed the change IRL conversations about 10 years ago. They're republicans now.

They were anti-MIC and anti-pharma
They were as vitriolic towards Bush as towards Trump. Now the Bushes, Cheney's, McCains are on their side.
The parties have really flipped since Bush in a lot of ways. The right's transformation makes sense, faith was lost in previously trusted institutions and they became antiestablishment reformers. The left just got dumber and shittier.

Occupy Wall Street is now on the side of the banks. They support the war in Ukraine. They are anti free speech.

If I’m a 3 letter agency I’m doing whatever the flip I want because I can control these people like puppets.
