One of the most effing frustrating feelings in my career was this. This was my effing major at LSU. Other doctors with no real micro/immuno backgrounds were lecturing me about how I was wrong about it, and it reinforced to me that most of being a "doctor" these days is following the algorithm (I call it the recipe book - designed for cooks, not chefs) where the first decision to be made is "what does the TV tell me to say?".

I was hesitant about the vaccine, waited until the next summer to see if anyone was dropping dead (none reported at the time) and took the JnJ to get the least amount available. A year later, I got covid (fairly mild). Meanwhile my female friend has been staying with me the past two weeks because she caught covid, and I didn't catch it from her. Why? Natural immunity. And being exposed to her probably ramped up my natural immunity even more. frick everyone from Pfizer and the pro-mandate assholes. And frick every doctor who took their marching orders from Fauci. I can forgive those who followed the CDC because they're trained to defer to them, but if they were the ones acting "I know all about it because I'm a doctor!", no, frick you too, you're not a doctor, you're a line cook with a professional degree who lacks the critical thinking skills to deserve a presumption of expertise.
