Remember Jason Chaffetz said Sessions DOJ worse than Lynch

At first I was not sure what to think about that comment but maybe Sessions is just another career politician who talks a good game but does the same shite as the rest of them when he gets power...
"Sessions, who testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee last week about Russian interference in the U.S. electoral process, rejected any claim that he has been stonewalling questions from lawmakers on Capitol Hill.
Chaffetz, though, told a different story. He said the Oversight Committee has struggled to gain information from federal agencies on investigations into former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server at the State Department, the Internal Revenue Service’s alleged targeting of conservative groups, and the ATF’s gun-walking scandal.
“We have been in court trying to pry those documents out of the Department of Justice and still to this day, they will not give us those documents,” he said. “And at the State Department — nothing. Stone-cold silence.”
Chaffetz also used the interview to take a jab at his fellow Republicans, many of whom he suggested are not fully executing their oversight duties.
“The reality is,” he said, “there aren’t very many people that want to play offense. There aren’t that many who say, ‘Look we have a duty and an obligation to fulfill the oversight responsibility that was put in place at the very founding of our country.”

Remember when Sessions was confirmed, Schumer said it made him sick to his stomach...this week, it’s deplorable how Trump has treated this honest and upstanding friend of both sides of the aisle.

Trump is slowly eliminating the Washington insiders that he felt compelled to employ due to their loyalty and help during the campaign.
Not saying Sessions is a goner, but I wouldn't be surprised if he is eventually shown the door.

Well everyone was praising this guy as being a honest do the right thing guy but he seems more interested in protecting the corrupt politicians. I guess when Lindsey Graham was praising him during confirmation we should have known what to expect.

Chaffetz was talking about one specific point. Document production. Sessions is no better than Holder and Lynch were about producing documents that Congress asks the DoJ to produce.

Boy , so true!

I'm wondering if the Deep State has something on Sessions. Why else would he not be uncovering Deep State corruption?
As a Trump supporter I'm just as frustrated by Sessions lack of action as Trump is.

Congress gave Sessions full credibility to burn and slash the Uniparty and they have no clue that Trump herded them like cattle to do that and they still don’t. In the next few weeks, it’s going to be “No, wait”

I totally agree. They have something on Sessions.
The swampy needs to be drained. It won't happen with Sessions in there. The Republicans that aren't on the offense are part of the swamp. Drain that f---- ing swamp

Could it be that Sessions doesn't want to reveal his hand to Hillary? If he tells the Congress what he's up to, Hillary finds out the same day.

Irrelevant. The entire point of oversight is when they ask for something, they get it. Surely you understand the dangers of an Agency being able to ignore Congressional oversight?
The only issue I have with this is, it's oversight with no teeth, Congress really can't do anything but complain if the DoJ or Defense Department or whomever just says "frick you" when asked for documents.
So, what's the point , really?
