RE Shootings: When are we going to address the real problem instead of the effects?

Mental health in this country was cast aside in the 90's and lack of diagnosis and treatment are giving us these wacked out psychos shooting up our schools and churches.

I don't count Vegas because most of you don't want to discuss what really happened there.

I don't count San Bernardino, Ft Hood, or Orlando because that was just goat fricking Muzzies doing what goat fricking Muzzies do. Besides, the FBI knew about ALL of them beforehand and did nothing.

Liberals want to have a discussion. Well, last night shows you aren't capable of having one because with EVERYTHING you do; you lie and cheat. Liberals don't want a discussion, they want to control the narrative. Liberals don't want a discussion because doing so would be all encompassing and they'd have to hear things they don't want to hear.

This whole damn argument is a sham and they way there media is handling it makes people like me completely tune it out.

Address mental health in this country and most of this goes away.

Real issues are:
the drugging of our kids, particularly bows, with mind altering drugs

feminizing the classroom so that boys can not express their natural aggression and energy

the lazy rule that regardless of who starts the fight and why it started both kids are suspended.

Except it won't. There are plenty of shootings that don't involve mental health issues. There isn't just one thing that's going to fix it all. Quit pretending.

Advocated for the nuclear family.

Stability, proper male and female influence produces the healthiest children.

I mean, they're the one constant in all of this, but you'd sooner blame global warming.

It starts at home

Kids stop getting spanked and parents stop actually helping their kids with handling their issues.

Kids used to bring their guns to school every day between October through January. They would leave hemnin their trucks, cars, and lockers after hunting that morning and you never heard of school shootings. This was in the 70’s and 80’s. What changed? One could argue there are fewer guns available to highschool aged kids now, yet more shootings

The only way to stop this nonsense would be 100% total door to door gun confiscation and then it still wouldn't stop a thing because it would be impossible to get all weapons and stop the influx of new weapons. SEE 60 YEAR DRUG WAR

The liberal lie is that they think banning AR weapons would stop this crap. It wouldn't matter a bit if AR weapons are outlawed the VTech killer killed 32 with handguns. The Nice killer killed 86 with a truck.

We need to figure out how to weed people like this out of society, not dispose of anything that can be used as a weapon. But that is extremely hard. And doesn't score political points.

Hell, this last killing wasn't a gun issue at all. It was a total failure by the school, social services, the police and the FBI. Hell, this case proves how gun control will do absolutely nothing if the ENTIRE system fails when red flags are blazing for years.

Weird assertion.
How would you prefer mental illness be treated?

When do parents, school administrators, law enforcement and doctors get some of the blame for passing, ignoring and pacifying these crazy SOBs?

There is ZERO money to be made from mental health reform. Unless the government stepped in to foot the bill, who’s gonna pay?

It would be a massive undertaking. Florida will be an early case study. After watching the town hall last night, I wonder how many frickers get Baker Acted in the next couple weeks? Then what type of burden that places on psych facilities that are probably already bursting in FLORIDA.

I agree that reform is needed. But the $$$ needed will be massive and it’ll take a few weeks without a shooter before somebody is on Dateline NBC etc talking about how they were locked up in a psych facility that was a nightmare. It’s a huge undertaking.

Hyper activity is not a mental illness. Not every kid needs adderall. Some kids need to be disciplined by their parents. Let them play tag and dodgeball and football at recess
