This is supposed to be a close race.

Tlaib defeated Brenda Jones.
Funny story about Brenda Jones. She ran for both the chance to serve out the rest of Conyers term (less than 2 months) and for the next full term. She defeated Tlaib in the former, lost to her in the latter.
