The perpetually outraged Melt Bros have had a rough 6 months.

Every week for 6 months now they have ridden that emotional roller coaster of thinking they finally got him this time to nothing but their shriveled cock in their hand, which takes a toll on the brain.

Let them have their Kencucky Saviors, it may be the only thing that gets them through until their next melt.

Whatever helps you sleep at night, but like the OP said, youre just obstructionists

1) If you support immigration, then you cant have smaller govt. There has to be a whole industry of employees who have to vet, house, defend, and help integrate these new people. They dont come with a set of Americanized parents that did that for us

2) If you support abortion, then you cant have smaller govt. That also comes with an entire industry of employees that have to vet, treat, medicate, counsel, etc. Because if you dont then the abortions dont occur and you then beed employees to train, treat, defend, house, support, feed the unwanted children. Its called welfare

3) If you support immigration or reproduction then you cant have smaller govt. Its called population growth. It requires more services. No way around that

4) If you support legalizing drugs, then you cant have smaller govt. Another industry of providers, health care, mental health, law enforcement, street sweepers, parks employees, job services, counselors, bloated law enforcement, etc.

Its just pie-in-the sky for libertarians. Its no different than marxists. Its never worked, but one day, somewhere it will work. I just feel it!!

I guess many would consider me MAGA. I think it’s easy to spot principled opposition, which I can respect, versus TDS-driven opposition, which I don’t respect. There’s parts of both the MAGA movement and the libertarian movement I can get with.

That’s odd. How the hell is his Heritage score 10 points higher than the average R if he’s always our guy voting with them.

When you support lawfare, would that be an example of the small government you promote?

Trump wants voter id, lower taxes, border security, and increased deportations. All of those help America and are things you "conservatives" claim to want. But when voted on, you resort to the dumbest argument of all time - "if you want to spend money to fix problems, then you support big government."

Either you conservatives are liars with TDS or you're retards. It's not good either way.

Trump didn’t lock down the country at all. He left it up to the states. Of course the blue states went crazy in this regard. You could make the argument Trump should have challenged this overreaction by blue states but you haven’t made that argument.

I did enjoy the Kevin McCartney-esque justifications for why the BBB had to be passed, ignoring the whole, you know, ousting of Kevin McCarthy for making those arguments

Trump didn’t lock down the country at all.

He declared a national emergency that allowed the states to follow and his admin set the guidelines for states, funded the reimbursements, and communicated/coordinated with states about all of these things.

Where was Trump criticizing states for closing down in 2020?

What the hell was Trump doing with comments like these?

quote:

President Donald Trump on Wednesday said he’d informed Gov. Brian Kemp of Georgia that he “strongly” disagreed with the governor’s decision to begin reopening parts of the state as soon as Friday, a high-profile break from a Republican ally.

“I told the governor of Georgia, Brian Kemp, that I disagree strongly with his decision to open certain facilities,” Trump said at a White House coronavirus task force press briefing, doling out praise for “strong, resolute” Georgia residents.

quote:

Trump on Wednesday asserted that Kemp’s rolled-back restrictions were “in violation” of the first step of his administration’s phased plan to return to normal and revive the economic standstill.

At the same time, Trump indicated he was not so opposed to Kemp’s decision that he would ask the federal government to step in.

“He must do what he thinks is right. I want him to do what he thinks is right, but I disagree with him on what he is doing,” the president said. He argued that he felt Kemp had moved “just too soon,” and seemed not to rule out federal intervention “if I see something totally egregious, totally out of line.”

“I think it’s too soon, and I love the people,” Trump said. “I love those people that use all of those things, the spas, the beauty parlors, the barbershops, tattoo parlors, I love them. But they can wait a little bit longer, just a little bit — not much — because safety has to predominate.”

If Trump was truly "hands off" and "left it up to the states", how did this ever occur?

Why did his administration have a "phased plan" in the first place to guide states?

Why did he imply the feds could step in to stop states like GA?

Not in the version passed by the House and I don't know what the House will do.

I'm sure they're going to regroup on the tax cuts because that's so important to Trump, but I don't know what else of major substance survives. Time is going to end up being an issue, ultimately.

Only big Ls (who don't exist on this board anymore, as far as I know) don't require decreasing the fedgov, specifically welfare programs, to make this work. .

quote:

There is no doubt that free and open immigration is the right policy in a libertarian state, but in a welfare state it is a different story: the supply of immigrants will become infinite.
