Without looking it up can you:

Explain the science behind your belief?

or

Name and provide the background info (experience, etc) for one climate scientist?

I'm not really into one side or the other on this one. I guess for me, I've always read, been taught, etc about the "greenhouse effect" and how certain things that humans produce contribute to that.

I've always figured we probably contribute a little, but the people that act like "The Day After Tomorrow" is about to happen on Earth are overreacting extremely.

I think we probably contributed to it a bit, I don’t remember or know if I ever understood the science behind it. I don’t think we should take any drastic measures or that there is much of anything we can do about it. If it’s related to pollution of any kind, we in the US aren’t even close to the biggest contributors. In short, it pearl clutching of the highest order.

That is the thought I follow. I love the idiots playing gotcha when they ask me if I believe in climate change. Of course I do, we are not in an ice age anymore. The question is if it is influenced by humans.

This is true.

The media has the following formula.

Appeal to authority.

Do not question authority.

Exaggerate authorities claims.

Always show a picture of one of the following:

* A hot sun intimating we are all going to burn up.
* A smoke stack emitting harmless steam intimating massive pollution.
* A photoshopped image of flooded New York or Miami intimating we are all going to drown.
* Polar bears hanging out looking lonely on a open sea iceberg intimating that if you don't stop eating steak and driving your SUV the poplar bears will die.

Before 1900:

* Frozen navigable water ways due to global cooling intimating we were all going to freeze to death.

Yeah, number one being Plexiglas is not a good model for our atmosphere.

Follow the money. It usually tells all you need to know. People who push this down our throats get rich off of it, but never live the way they say you have too. Lol really is common sense. When they start living like Ed bagley Jr. Then I will start listening, maybe.

If you light a match that adds heat to the air. Which is part of the world. So the world is warmer every single time a match is lit.

You produce heat. So being alive makes the world a little bit warmer just by existing.

So it is a fact that man has contributed to global warming. Is it the danger that the left wants you to believe? Not even close.

Clean air should be a priority

Clean water should be a priority

Proper disposal of toxic and biological waste should be a priority.

Halting the effects of natural shifts in planetary temperatures that has been occurring for a billion years should not be a priority.

Man made global warming is laughable and nothing more than a scam to part a fool and their money.

According to fossil records the earth has shifted its climate radically every so often since the time of the big lizards so there should be no surprise when it continues to be a fluid thing. It will never remain constant.

This is silly. You don't "believe in" climate change. You accept the facts and use reality to apply them, or you don't understand the facts and pretend it isn't happening at all or that we're all going to die tomorrow because I put 93 in my truck.

I'm not taking a stance on this either way, but this is a awful argument

Can you explain the science behind human consciousness? You can't, no one can, yet I'm pretty sure you believe humans are conscious

All I know is if things were really as dire as some would have us believe, we would have already invaded/nuked India and China

First of all, I don't think the climate change is "man-made".

I do believe that man has sped it up. My opinion comes from the science revolving around core samples, both in ice and under swamp samples, which date back tens of thousands of years.

I'm not going into a scientific discussion on the PB. I'd sooner argue with the wall.

Really, I can only know for sure that I am conscious. Or what I understand a conscious’ state to be

Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere absorbs heat? I don’t even believe in it and that was still pretty easy.
