Why do you all feel like it's a terrible thing to want to make sure self is taken care of first and having a workman like mentality?

I am only 31 and can confidently say I am ahead of about 95% of my peer group.

I'm recently retired and a liberal. I worked my whole life so screw you. Nothing wrong with taking care of yourself first and nothing wrong with wanting to help people that need it. You can do and have both.

My experience is that they want people to work but they are willing to overlook that too much of the time and are a bit free with money from others taken by the government.

I agree with you 100% brother. The problem is when folks that also identify as liberal want to use the power of the government to force me to help people when, how, and how much THEY think I should.
