we hear it all the time; "TRUMP JUST GAVE BILLIONAIRES AND THE RICH MONEY THAT PEOPLE THAT WON'T WORK SHOULD GET"

I do not, and will likely never, understand this mindset... so here is my question:

Let's assume that you and I are neighbors and you walk your dog for a half hour every day at the same time

Once a week I sneak into your house and steal $100.00

After a while I feel guilty, so instead of taking $100.00 from your dresser drawer, I only take $80.00

Did I just give you $20.00?

Here's another scenario: I go to my boss to ask for a $10 raise, but he "only" gives me a $5 raise. Did he cut my pay $5? To a leftists the answer would be yes, he cut my pay $5.

Personally I'm happy people are getting a tax break.

I think your anger is misdirected. We are upset that the very rich are getting permanent tax break in the long run after 10 years. Meanwhile, the middle class will be the ones who have to foot the bill when there is an inevitable shortage of federal income.

Between military spending and the welfare, the feds are never going to make major budget cuts (though they should).

Can't speak for everyone, but I'm not upset over the money that welfare people aren't getting.

not angry; just confused about the "government is giving anybody anything" mindset...

I agree with this sentiment

He read an article where a liberal said that so it must be true.

This then begs the question:

Why do liberals never support real budget cuts? Or eliminating redundant or obsolete federal positions in order to offset the lost tax revenue?

And I mean real budget cuts, not decreasing the planned budget increase.

He must mean corporations. If a corporation is operating in a foreign country how would a temporary tax cut entice them to return to US given the cost of relocating?

Why is it when workers run out of money they are expected to quit spending, but when government runs out of money they expect to get a raise via tax theft?

Once again - are you going to keep the cap on benefits?

Since that answer is obviously "Yes" - then the cap on the tax must remain.

I’m gonna save you the time waiting for him to respond: OF COURSE he wants to keep the cap on benefits. It’s not his money so why should he care.

You're using the word "permanent" in the true sense of the word. "Forever, never ending" etc.

Unfortunately for you, "permanent" in government DOES NOT mean the same as permanent in the dictionary.

The corporate tax cut will change. It will go up again. It will go down again. This "permanent" tax cut simply means that it won't expire on its own. Meaning that they have to actually do something to change it.

On the flip side, the "10 year sunset" tax break isn't necessarily a one and done Type thing. They can extend it beyond or cut it short it need be.

The only difference is that one expires on its own automatically and the other needs to be changed. That doesn't mean that were stuck at that rate permanently

I know. The English language is hard.

Because they are tyrants at heart, and as such, believe it's the government's money first. So, from that pov, it makes all the sense in the world....even though you have to be a colossal retard to think it's government's money first.
