I thought this was going to be about the clip just shown on the basketball postgame show of Jim Boeheim criticizing the Ivy League for cancelling all sports because of covid.

That has no connection at all to Syracuse. The town in New York was named after Syracuse in SICILY, and in the late 1800s- early 1900s many Italian immigrants settled in upstate New York.
