High-powered rifles such as the AR-15 can be fired more than twice as fast as most handguns. The standard magazine for an AR-15 holds 30 rounds, allowing a shooter to continue firing uninterrupted for longer, making the weapon more lethal than other firearms, though clearly the use of any gun can be deadly, especially a shotgun at close range.

that's weird, I can fire my 9mm pretty much exactly as fast as I can fire my ar-15

USA Today doesn’t let facts get in the way of a good story.

And they’re obviously referencing single action revolvers. Duh.

I wonder why they don't mention that the body count would have likely been much higher had the SRO officer not intercepted the shooter instead of hiding in the bushes like the Parkland SRO did?

Well, an AR-15 out of the box, won’t fire faster. But throw a bump stock or a binary trigger, that’ll change the game. Should they be legal? Meh, my opinion doesn’t matter on that. Nor do I care.

Been offline most of the day. I was wondering why the coverage seemed lacking. Now I know. No AR. No care.
