I was probably about to join Dollar Shave Club (I have about 2 weeks left before I need blades)

Well, I never even noticed before, but Publix has their own brand of blades, and they fit on the Gillette handles

At my Publix, they are $1.37 per blade, the Gillette blades are $2.80 each, so half price

Anyone know if Publix has to pay Gillette for the right to manufacture these?

I'd rather do this than join a deal where shipments are automatically generated...

ETA: still not 100% sure whether or not Publix pays Gillette or P & G a royalty, but we can be sure that Gillette does not produce these blades (see small print at bottom of box in photo)

adding this picture to OP since thread has been bumped

Dollar shave club blades cut the shite out of me as well. Have to shave daily though and have thick facial hair, as I'm an adult male.

All those blades are cheap anyway. That's why they tear up your face. Buy an adjustable safety razor, get a sleeve of Feather blades on ebay, and a quality cream like Proraso and you will never look back.

Double edged safety razors for the win. The blades cost cents to the dollar compared to the big brand, multi-blade razors and are much less harsh on your skin.

Thanks for this. I just stopped shaving the day the ad aired. But I've been tripping over my beard lately

gillete says you are a rapist if you buy their razors so......

Dollar Shave Club is fricking terrible.

I have a ton of Gillette and I'll try to reuse them as much as possible- probably 4 months worth still before I have to make a decision

You go next door to Bluff Park Diner or the place next to Sneaky Pete's in the Ellis Piano center?

I personally like Schick. Been using the hydro 5 for about 5 years more and I think it's a superior product to Gillette which I used to use.

There is a good chance Gillette makes blades for off brand razors. You need to research.

Trick to making them last is dry them out good after use. The water is what dulls them not the friction of using them

Sports Clips usually. Didn't the guy next to Bluff Park Diner leave? Don't live in Bluff Park anymore, so I'm not sure.

ETA: Sneaky Pete's has been gone for a while too. Nothing can stay open in Bluff Park. The liberals up there want to complain but then don't support local. They're why we moved.

don't know, I used him twice and he did a bad job both times, so I'm done, he always kept weird hours, was only open a few days a week, I wish I could use him, but he did a bad job on me

I go next door to the hot dog stand or Homewood barber now, I support small independents when I can and old school barber shops are an easy thing to use

At UGA, they had an old school barber across the street from the freshmen dorms when I went (87 to 92)

You could tell the old man whatever you wanted, but if you sat in his chair, you were getting "high & tight" no matter what

He shaved your neck with an old school straight blade and did shaves as well...
