The FBI is notorious for this. In the 1960's, I'd guess 75% of the active Klan in the South were on the FBI payroll. Same thing for the Vietnam agitators. They are an evil lot. The entire bureau should be abolished.

This means they are sending undercovers to encourage others to plan to commit crimes so they can arrest them.
They did the same fricking thing with muslim extremist groups, and got caught.

The Intercept (Glenn Greenwald's old political site) ran several articles about these "terror" plots exposed by the FBI. Most were themselves concocted by the FBI and involved the manipulation and coercion of vulnerable and marginalized people, some of whom would likely be classified as mentally challenged.
