I’ll be watching footage of the protest on the WAFB noon news, with my mask on.

I believe that multiple class action legal actions are the only way to REVERSE the political power grabs that are now fully demonstrated to be unconstitutional.

So let’s do a protest in the middle of the day on the hottest day of the year while most of the people it affects are at work?

Go exercise your rights and be a part of the moment, whether or not I agree with you. Just find the dynamic here amusing given the comments by many.

Protest, not riot. Subtle difference.

I'm all for proving these are unconstitutional, but the politicians who made these power grabs will not personally pay. They have no skin in the game. Won't we be suing ourselves? The real remedy is to soundly defeat politicians who support these moves.
Maybe asking if a candidate was/is for mask mandates would be good litmus test question going forward?

This mindset is part of the problem. You're going to lose your job... it's just a matter of when.

These protesters want to go back to work but can't because dem governors are keeping things closed to try and hurt Trump's economy. That's the difference, and if you can't see it, you're a fricking moron.

I have work, where I now make 10% less. Inspiring to see all those employers letting their people go to a protest though. I'm not so lucky.

SOAPBOX [ON] OFF

Should be "Capitol" in this context. Louisiana's "capital" (with an "a")city is Baton Rouge. The "Louisiana State Capitol" is a specific building in Baton Rouge.

Did anyone make it out there? What’s the turnout look like?

I would have gone if I wasn’t stuck at work.

I’ll be curious to hear how this protest will cause more spikes but the BLM protests didn’t.
