I’ve never understood censoring anyone. When I was 13 some whitebitch told me I would be
pretty if I just tried to be a little softer
…smile more
and straighten all that hair
and I realized I would never be au naturale
the crowdpleaser or the girl next door
I was nobody’s angel in the centerfold
too ballet scrawny to have any curves
too darkskinned to light up a room
too short to tower over my haters

so I looked to my comic books my Sunday cartoons my Sailor Moon stickers
and I thought…………………villains
I want an eyepatch and a black cat and nails that I can impale my enemies on let’s weaponize this sh*t
I want to look like a
bitch from outer space
so I grew my nails as hard as I could
ate Jell-O and vitamins
coated them in oils and wrapped them in gloves
I drew a tiny island with a palm tree on each one to say:
I’ve built my paradise baby
welcome to my war palace with a shark-filled moat and statues of cobras and doors that need an eyeball scanner to open
I’ve got encased crystals and ancient spellbooks and one thousand syringes filled with neon liquids that will mess you up to kingdom come, but they’re perfectly organized because I’m a Virgo
and that sh*t is important to me.
I’ve got throwing stars, lances, maces, rocket launchers, sabers, cannons, but don’t touch my
………………..…………………..katanas, those are decorative.
