Private Hugh Montgomery was the first British soldier to fire in the Boston Massacre. According to many historic documents, he was also identified by many witnesses in the trial as the man who killed Crispus Attucks. As if this were not enough, it is also believed that it was Montgomery not Captain Preston who yelled “Damn you, fire!” to the troops.

So, we found this out while under British military rule, but we can't get the name of the man who killed Ashli Babbit?

So, the government says he is "on administrative leave".

I think he needs to be identified and put on trial. The Brits that fired on the crowd in Boston got put on trial, this man should also. Were the colonists before the revolution freer than we are today?

Wait, I thought the US was founded on white supremacy. This means it was actually founded on black lives mattering.

First unarmed black man gunned down by the law.

But, in this case, the black man was a patriot, so that doesn't count.

I don't know. I think cops should be able to use lethal force in situations like this. I think those people who guarded their property when the mob came in to their private neighborhood were right to wield guns, and would have been right to shoot somebody if they tried to get in their home. I think mobs in Portland who burn stuff should be subject to being shot. People die in those violent acts. I'd rather it be the rioter than the cops or those people there trying to stop the crime. Those capitol security guys are tasked with protecting our elected officials. If somebody gets through the barrier and is approaching them, they should use any force necessary to stop them...even lethal force. (I'm mostly bothered by the cops opening the door for them almost as if it was ok for them to go in. That may have made the girl think it was ok to go where she was. Senseless, but I don't blame the security guy. The mob has made all shootings bad these days, even though 99.999999o% are completely justified.
