Psaki: Backlog at US ports because more goods are being ordered. "People have more money and the wages are up."

Oof.

Supply is bottlenecked due to shitty leftist policies hampering port and trucking operations.

Demand is slightly higher due to supply concerns. Inventory is being padded.

Inflation is approaching all time highs year over year.

Wages are up, but not up to the pace of inflation so purchasing power is diminished. Wages are up because of government manufactured worker shortages.

What the frick kind of world does she live in?

Absolutely tone deaf. I’m in the supply chain- we offer forklifts that are used to move any product needing to be palletized. We are having problems finding simple components like load wheels and bearings. With forklifts down longer than usual (and this is a nationwide problem) our supply chain is seeing another bottleneck. The supply chain is going to get way worse before it gets better.

A lack of a treadmill is annoying but not a problem.

A lack of food is a major problem.

A lack of damn near everything better not be a joke by these fricking idiots.

I asked the question... Lets benchmark the truth of this statement.

How many containers on average are unloaded a day (2019/2020) and how many are being uloaded today? I'd be willing to be its 1/2 of the normal amount, which is a labor issue.

yep. it's just silly consumer goods that are being delayed

not microchips, lumber, precious metals, iron, steel, drugs, etc

oh... and heres what I found.

Container unloading at the Port of LA is down almost 6% for the month of August in comparison to 2020 and loading is down nearly 23% for the same time frame.

Guess Peppermint Patty lied again
