Politically, this is Trump dragging his nuts across HBM’s face. He can say he has cooperated with the investigation and by steering clear of obstruction all HBM can do is write a report. A report that will now be vetted by Trump’s pick as acting AG prior to publication.

Bad idea. Mueller's old friend and colleague, Rudy Giuliani, has been pimping this "written answer" trap from day 1.

Maybe nothing good but certainly nothing bad either.
It's the world's safest bet that the answers to each and every question has been carefully screened and intensively vetted by his private lawyers and the White House counsel as well to make sure they pose no risk for perjury traps or give any clues to Mueller and his team.

Can this be known absolutely without knowing what testimony has been submitted by those offered immunity? I'm sure Mueller's questions will be carefully crafted.
POTUS should tell Mueller to pound sand.
