Hes wrong about this - the current colors are iconic and have a great history. AF1 is the most beautiful plane in history with the Jackie O blue

I'm sure the left will bash it: A red, white, and blue paint job will project American power and will act to intimidate other nations. Orange man just wants the biggest plane. We must paint it rainbow colors and paint the flag of every nation on it.

I can see the desire for an update after, what, 55 years? And I do like the new designs, shown above.
However, the current design is damn fine looking, and to call it iconic, would not be an exaggeration.

The last time a president flew on a plane with red as part of the livery color (not just in the flag):
