Actually, he's plagiarizing Obama. Obama said the same thing about 'digging our way out of a very deep hole' in his first year. He went on to blame every bad economic statistic on Bush for the next 4 years. He stopped doing it in his second term because he got mocked for it.
It's amazing how stupid Obama was and he didn't suffer from dementia like Joe.
