The propaganda outlets are responsible for these. Have to remind everybody how essential the federal government is for continuation of our daily lives.

So get ready for some tear jerkers courtesy of the MSM.

All the while government offices would have been closed anyway because the shutdown started on the beginning of a weekend.

Maybe you should educate yourself about what the definition of "human interest story" is, Snowflake.

And, yes, the military is affected.

The Air Force Academy has canceled all of its participation in NCAA athletic events until the shutdown ends.

We are working without the majority of our civilians until this is fixed.

Why is that important? Military members are not reliable for continuity, we are constantly deployed, gone to training, or moving every 4 years. The civilian workforce provides that in place continuity for many programs/tasks/systems.

There is a lot that won’t be able to get done without them. There are capabilities that are lost. There are young military members that like most Americans need their paychecks to survive on due to lack of savings.

So tell me again you stupid little count, how are the people, working, protecting the country, and doing it all for free until this is over, not being held hostage.
