POTUS lied and lots of people died!

During one of his presidential debates last year when about 220,000 people had died from COVID-19, Joe Biden said that “anyone who’s responsible for that many deaths should not remain as president of the United States of America.” So should Joe be looking for another job, now that more than 100,000 have died in just the two months that he’s been president?
Biden said, after all, that he had a plan on “day one” as president to tackle the disease. He was going to move “heaven and earth” to save lives, etc., etc. But since Jan. 20, there have been 105,334 deaths attributed to the coronavirus as of Saturday, according to the COVID Tracking Project. That means that one-fifth of all the COVID-19 deaths have occurred just since Biden took office.
20% of covid deaths in just over 5 weeks. Of course that is the fun thing about numbers. They do not lie but they can be presented in so many ways that distort the picture. The dems and liberals were not afraid to misrepresent the facts last year to stop Trump from getting reelected and now what is good for the goose is good for the gander.

On Thursday, Biden again claimed that he inherited no vaccination plan when he came into office.
“Were moving in the right direction,” he said, “despite the mess we inherited from the previous administration, which left us with no real plan to vaccinate all Americans.”
It’s been a constant refrain of his administration.
Vice President Kamala Harris said in mid-February that “there was no national strategy, or plan, for vaccinations … and so, in many ways, we are starting from scratch on something that’s been raging for almost an entire year.”
What they all fail to mention is that while Trump supposedly had no vaccination plan, daily vaccinations were already above 1 million – candidate Biden’s stated goal – when Biden and Harris were sworn in.
What’s more, Biden has utterly failed to live up to his promise to dramatically ramp up vaccine distribution.
In fact, the daily vaccine rate is basically where it was when he took office. On inauguration day, 1.5 million COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered, according to Bloomberg’s vaccine tracker. The daily average number of doses administered over the past week was – 1.6 million.
Let that last part sink in, during the last 5 or 6 weeks of the Trump administration, we went from an average 0 Americans per day being vaccinated to an 1,500,000 per day. In the first 5 or 6 weeks of the Biden administration we have gone from 1,500,000 to 1,600,000 per day. Biden is butt fumbling his response to COVID so bad that even Mark Sanchez is impressed, but at least we got our first minority and female VPOTUS which is just so empowering.

Yeah, but you see, Joe is not responsible...

They aren’t lying. When they came into power, they had no vaccination plan. They just copied the plan that was already there.

True; he is just placeholder. He will retire just as soon as the calendar allows Harris to take over and still be eligible to be elected for two full terms.

Trump did all he could. Joe is doing all he can. Its a fricking virus and neither man is a god.
Do people not understand that some shite can't be fixed.
You could give me 100 willing women, 10 million dollars, and enough viagra to make a water stiff and I still could not get you a baby in less than about 9 months.

They are lying when they said the previous administration had no plan. They are using the previous administration's plan and trying to say it is their own. If we had an honest media, the whole country would see that and realize that the country was lied to.

I thought Biden received the vaccine before he took office.

He did. Both doses, in fact. But he can lie about that and the media will reinforce the lie.
Also if you post about it on social media, they will put a disclaimer that says “missing context” on your post

to be fair, it was a month before he was inaugurated so he probably forgot about it

Trump made some mistakes like going off script during the official daily covid press conferences. He named Pence as the point man for that operation and he should have let Pence handle the briefings and he handle the making the deals with the companies and the other stuff that he was great at. Also he should have fired Fauci and his whole team after they f**ked up so bad last January and February and early March. Of course, Trump did a shite load more right than he did wrong and he will never get credit for keeping US covid deaths to < 25% of what the models predicted them to be.

That is the problem. Neither Biden or Harris has the leadership skills necessary to rally all the components needed achieve the goal of getting 300million+ people vaccinated, and they are promoting strategies that prolong the time it takes for the young and healthy to achieve herd immunity naturally. Their best is just not good enough because replacing Trump and Pence (yes I know that his name is toxic on this board after 1/6/21 but he was still an effective VPOTUS) with Biden and Harris is like the Patriots replacing Tom Brady with Cam Newton.

Not only that. He gave Trump credit for developing the vaccine.

This in fact was Joe's plan on dealing with covid. Falsely claim Trump had no plan in place and they were starting from scratch.
One problem with that. They were saying Trump had no plan or vision to combat the virus leading up to the election. Yet Joe and Kamala kept saying they had a plan to fight it and turn this around.
Yet the progressives here will not call Joe or Kamala out for pandering, fear mongering, and yet lying again.

Between Biden, Cuomo and Whitmer - what's the numbers?

Let's not forget that part of their campaign strategy was to cast doubt on the vaccine Trump was pushing to complete.
Joe and Kamala along with media hold a lot of responsibility for some people skeptical of the vaccine. You can't bad mouth Trump and the vaccine for months and then suddenly say it's a good vaccine.

quote:my problem with this is, when trump was president, it was his fault NO MATTER WHAT. Media made it sound like trump was putting sick people in nursing homes. Media denied the effectiveness of HCQ. They set the precedent that POTUS is responsible. But now that their guy is POTUS, is no one’s fault, Biden is just one man, etc....

It’s an obvious double standard and I’m tired of it

Perfect example of the power the media has. If they aren't in an uproar then everything's kosher.
