Political Protestor Self Immolated Today in Manhattan and Nobody Cared

The man appeared to have been a Tibetan protestor protesting Chinese rule. This is obviously sensitive footage, but it is crazy to me. People are driving by honking as the man sets himself on fire.
Our world is broken.
And for people who will undoubtedly bitch about the sauce, I verified it. This happened today in Manhattan outside the UN headquarters.

What it makes me think about is how nobody seems to give a frick about the atrocities committed by the Chinese government. Sure, we will raise hell over Iran's treatment of women and protestors and bomb the frick out them, but nobody ever even talks about how the CCP has been engaging in literal genocide for years and is apparently so oppressive that people are setting themselves on fricking fire trying to get the world to take notice. Or how about the fact that a global pandemic was released within their borders that killed millions and destroyed the world economy and nobody does a fricking thing about it?
