I just downvoted my own OP.
I started this because I notice sometimes I’ll post something, not because I agree with it, but because it’s a topic in the political zeitgeist and deem it worthy of discussion. Sometimes I’ll even list why I think the particular topic is bullshite or wrong, and yet, sure enough, it’s getting downvotes.
It really seems to me that there are posters on here that literally get angry just because a topic of discsssuon isn’t a million percent confirmation of a particular bias.

I don't use the feature except on very rare occasion and don't notice it most of the time.

I never DV a thread OP. I tell a lie I DVed VOR's a long time ago and he ended up with a gazillion DV's so the thread must have been worse than tigerinDC's or EthanL's. 
I don't pay much mind to DV's unless the person is an obvious dick. I do have a seriel DVer. I called the police on them today to have a restraining order put out on them.
