As an absoluttely hypothetical example, let’s say that a given return includes a 1065 for a partnership with Beria LLC. That alone tells me very little, but the name “Beria” catches my eye, so I do additional research. I learn that Beria LLC is owned by ten individuals whose names end in “ov” and who use the same Manhattan address. Further research reveals that all ten are Russian citizens, three of whom are in Putin’s inner circle.
That still hasn't told you anything other than "Trump has multi-national business ventures." You didn't already know that?
You assume that only “criminal collusion” (whatever the Hell that means) is the only matter of potential importance to a voter.

A voter MIGHT also want to know whether a POTUS or candidate is in the rhetorical bed with foreign oligarchs, regardless of whether the transaction in question was legal.

just because the public hasn't seen both the financial disclosures and the tax returns doesn't mean that there aren't people who have that are in a position to do something about such a conflict

Precisely - which is the reason for the financial disclosure in the first place.

And Hank surely knows this which tells you how disingenuous he is being throughout this thread

you do realize that you've become completely transparent in the recent weeks correct?
I am a center-right libertarian who votes GOP almost exclusively and who despises DJT. I have said the same thing from Day One.

I am not sure how to be more transparent than that.

We have a certain group of ... challenged ... posters who are convinced that I am some sort of Marxist. (One of them has made multiple emoji-based posts on this thread). I have repeatedly asked them to show any position I have ever taken outside that description (other than being a bit more hawkish than the average libertarian), add not one of them has ever done so. I hereby renew the request. It too will go unanswered.

YES, if your only interest relates to potentially-criminal activity.

AGAIN, it is entirely conceivable that a voter might have a standard other than “the candidate was not convicted of a felony.”

Because I don't need a tax return to inform my vote on candidates.

well that's not a valid reason for wanting to release people's personal information just so they can run for office

WTF are you babbling about?
Financial disclosure is required. Trump's associations, investments, and holdings are in the public domain. If he lied about those, we'd know it. Are you seriously arguing otherwise?

And if those disclosures were false there are people in the position to know it

Hank just thinks he's slick sliding back and forth between angles.

This is your problem. You despise the man's personality and choose to overlook the results that are coming out of it.
