Peter Berg was in F&F this morning and seemed to be pretty pro American for a Hollywood guy. He was definitely in touch with the military, police and working class citizens. So my question is, why are they always taking gaffs at President Trump on Ballers? Is Ballers supposed to take place in “current times” which would put players at odds with the President.
Last week, one of the characters on the show wore a shirt that read “Make Obama President Again.” Apparently he likes losing!

I've always liked Peter Berg. Wrote and directed Friday Night Lights and a number of military themed movies.
Fun fact - go watch his role as Terry Conklin in the Great White Hype.
He also played Joey Randone in Copland. I like him better as a writer/producer/director, but he has had some acting gigs as well.

You want them to be unrealistic and make all the players pro Trump? I'd say they do a good job keeping as much as possible out of it. The Rock is a dem and I'm sure Denzels son is similar to him.
HBO goes out of their way to promote all female and all black movies, I didn't see much liberal agenda in the first 3 seasons and what I saw in the previews for 4 could be taken either way.
