Roughly 1000 people died at the hands of law enforcement in 2018.

In same year, 250,000 people (some est are as high as 440,000) died as a result of medical mistakes.

Jus sayin.

Damn, based on the media coverage and riots I would have thought it was 1000 per DAY.

And how many of those who die were stoned out of their minds?

It's not the fault of the police if someone can't handle their fricking high.

How many resisted medical treatment and/or were armed with a deadly weapon?

Didn’t say it was. I think you missed the point of the post.

Doctors and providers are negligently killing 250,000 people each year. Cops only 1000.

I'm still not a fan of the blanket "killed by law enforcement".

How many of these jackasses were fighting and/or directly threatening the lives of the leos in the encounters where Darwin prevailed?

It's certainly used by some to show indiscriminate killing.

I’m sure the vast majority were unavoidable. But by their very nature of being mistakes ALL 250,000 medical mistakes theoretically should be avoidable.

Why no rioting and looting over medical mistakes?

I heard someone on AM radio say there were 1500 deaths (not sure which year) by law enforcement and 300 of those deaths were black Americans.....that doesn’t seem like systemic racism by law enforcement, take out Chicago, Baltimore and Detroit and the number of black Americans killed by law enforcement as a percentage of population is probably less than white Americans. Lol!

Not sure how I feel about this argument.

I got what you were saying and agree whole-heartedly. The jab wasn't at you but at those who knee-jerk consider the event of a cop killing someone to always be the cop's fault.

No. But I have seen quite a few episodes of Law and Order.

1,000 sounds high? Out of 330,000,000 people and roughly 50,000,000 police interactions a year?

Theoretically shouldn’t a mistake be avoidable?

I’m not criticizing doctors or providers mind you, just putting things in context.
