How could a sitting party dealing with an unpopular war and an economic crash possibly have pulled out a victory?

McCain had a good image which kept the margin somewhat respectable. It could have easily been a much worse landslide.

There are things to criticize mccain over....losing in 08 is not one of them.

McCain was a low energy candidate who excited voters about as much as they would be watching paint dry.

No one is pissed that McCain lost 2008. GOP was losing that one regardless of candidate.

The problem was that McCain was a huge cuck that completely bowed down to Obama and the media and just took it while they went balls deep in him.

I wouldn’t vote for Obama if you had a gun to my head and was going to eat my kids.

Because the democrats ran a fricking lunatic with Hussein in his name. McCain wouldn't attack who Barack obama was and lost.

We could have avoided that disastrous presidency.

Against Hillary I might agree with you, but losing to that fricking radical is inexcusable and avoidable.

The GOP fielded the most illiterate candidates on economics in John McCain at one of the most important times in American history to have a candidate with basic knowledge of economics. McCain is simply a dummy when it comes to economics.

More people on the right were excited about Sarah Palin than McCain. Stop a minute and think about that...

He was determined to lose with dignity. Actually, similar to Dole.

How about not supporting unpopular wars to begin with?
