But they are slowly liberalizing certain industries. They are most definitely authoritarian, but private enterprises make up 50% of their employment right now.

And having a cogent foreign policy which their authoritarian structure allows is better than ours, which changes every 4-8 year and lacks long-term cogency.

China’s GDP is growing at like 6% per year and they’re about to take over the Eurozone as the world’s second largest economy.

80% of the info that comes out of Beijing is highly exaggerated or just plain false.

China has been readying for war for a decade. They have recently stepped it up.

Good thing we went over there and modernized their nation right!

They don't want war either, they just want a military powerful enough to discourage the US from intervening in their upcoming land(ocean) grabs for resources.

Yup, the further we go the closer China and the US become tied together economically. We're already seeing their economic problems impact us and vice versa.

Theres plenty of open source info out there that doesn’t come from Beijing. And remember, they don’t have to build a military that can travel around the world to fight us. They only have to defend the South and East China seas...a much easier task.

China, Russia and other countries have shown you can be authoritarian and still be nominally capitalist.

I could definitely see them having advanced weaponry in their military arsenal.

However, the bottom line is that they no more want war with Russia or the US than we do with them.

All the shiny things are merely shiny deterrents which above all - appear largely untested.

It's what gives them the ability to have centralization projects that will span all of Asia. They've spent 4 trillion already in India, Pakistan, South Africa, and Russia. They have long term goals that democratically elected governments cannot execute. The US is positioned poorly in Central Asia due to various reasons.

They seemed to be turning more and more back to their communist ways, especially the last 6 months to a year. We have a much better form of gment than them if we would execute it. If we go back to a truly free market or at least a lot closer than we are today they can't stay with us.

Right but nominally capitalist can't compete with a free market imo.

Well the US doesn’t really practice a free market economy either.
