In a move likely to irk Moscow, the Pentagon has released $200M in new security assistance to Ukraine days after the Trump-Putin meeting, according to US & Ukrainian officials. The funds will go toward counter-artillery radars, vehicles, night vision, comms, & medical equipment

Why do we keep giving other countries hundreds of millions of dollars?

Let them pay for their own shite.

Between this and getting NATO members to increase their required funding of NATO, Trump is really colluding with Putin.

Because we have to prop up the military industrial complex by fomenting armed conflict the world over. It’s the American way

No, he’s just getting steamrolled by the Pentagon and its absolutely horrendous policy-making apparatus. Just like every other President since Eisenhower, the Joint Chiefs show up in uniform and the blank check is issued.

Right.... because we haven’t spent billions of dollars every year over the past half century getting involved in meaningless conflicts that have nothing to do with American interests.

Yea, what a total conspiracy. Totally baseless.

Yep. We can talk about Montenegro, whatever. Selling arms to a country in a known conflict will drag us into shite way faster than that.

Does this board approves or disapproves? I lost track after the NATO bashing.

I guess I do have to give the DoD a slight concession here, even though their policy giving rise to the scenario is a disaster.

Russia instigates these conflicts whenever one of the Warsaw Pact states who border Russia start getting chummy with NATO.

Which of course still makes it absolutely none of our business. But in the Pentagon’s world view (in which an American-led interventionist NATO is the only force for good in the solar system) I guess I see their rationale.
