Pentagon, "climate change will destroy us"

Climate change over the next 20 years could result in a global catastrophe costing millions of lives in wars and natural disasters..
A secret report, suppressed by US defence chiefs and obtained by The Observer, warns that major European cities will be sunk beneath rising seas as Britain is plunged into a 'Siberian' climate by 2020. Nuclear conflict, mega-droughts, famine and widespread rioting will erupt across the world.
The document predicts that abrupt climate change could bring the planet to the edge of anarchy as countries develop a nuclear threat to defend and secure dwindling food, water and energy supplies. The threat to global stability vastly eclipses that of terrorism, say the few experts privy to its contents.
'Disruption and conflict will be endemic features of life,' concludes the Pentagon analysis. 'Once again, warfare would define human life.'
The findings will prove humiliating to the Bush administration, which has repeatedly denied that climate change even exists. Experts said that they will also make unsettling reading for a President who has insisted national defence is a priority.
Oh, wait...this Alarmists' report was published in 2004.
I wonder if GWB is thinking about his Climate denying actions that have resulted in "global catastrophe costing millions of lives in wars and natural disasters". How can GWB live with himself?

Nuclear conflict
Seriously, climate change causes nuclear conflict? Are they sure it is not just an attempt to keep folks warm?
Jesus these idiots just do not know when to stop...

It's amazing how very large groups of people can be whipped up in to hysteria based on fake information.
Look at these recent climate change protest in London:
quote:
Protester Olivia Evershed, 23, said: "I hope that it's really going to bring awareness about the emergency crisis that we are in, and encourage the government to act.
"We've got 12 years to act before there is irreversible damage to the environment and we start to see catastrophic changes. If we don't do anything to change this, our children will die."

We got less than a year left before the end of time. Get right with your Maker my friends.
quote:
Already, according to Randall and Schwartz, the planet is carrying a higher population than it can sustain. By 2020 'catastrophic' shortages of water and energy supply will become increasingly harder to overcome, plunging the planet into war. They warn that 8,200 years ago climatic conditions brought widespread crop failure, famine, disease and mass migration of populations that could soon be repeated.

Dumb question but figured I would ask. I no very little about climate change but I always see the “rising sea/ocean” mentioned. Does this take into account all of the trash that has been dumped into the waters? I can only imagine the amount of garbage that is piled up in the deepest depths of the oceans.
Just a thought I had.

Climate change, specifically AGW, is REAL. Why do you see hoards of folks leaving the Middle East, and N. Africa, for Europe, and leaving Central America for the United States? It's getting waaaaay too hot in these places for even adaptable humans to tolerate.

I'm sure more taxes could fix this

I wish democrats would actually try to stop global warming and not destroy the country. Seems like the ways they want to fix it is the most expensive and least efficient ones you could think of. Climate change would be the easiest thing for both sides to agree on if democrats wanted to actually fix climate change.

Probably not. But that is insignificant in terms of rising sea levels but is very significant in terms of having clean oceans. I think most people want that. The biggest culprits of ocean pollution are China and India.
