Not snark. Link?

I'm seeing shite all over the place and even the NATA website hides the information as best they can.

I'm running out of the office for a meeting and I'd love to be wrong about our allies living up to their end of the bargain.

Only five of NATO's 28 members -- the U.S., Greece, Poland, Estonia and the U.K. -- meet the 2% target.
The rest lag behind. Germany is set to spend 1.2% of GDP on defense this year, France 1.79%. Belgium, Spain and Luxembourg all spend less than 1%.

Is that total defense or just money spent on Nato?

NATO has a budget to cover shared costs and some equipment used in joint operations, and all 29 member countries contribute to it. None of the allies has failed to pay its contribution.

This is the "shared" cost portion. No one is delinquent.

quote:

Mr. Trump’s complaint is that, while NATO member countries have agreed to spend at least 2 percent of their gross domestic products on military spending, most do not. But none has violated that agreement, because the 2 percent figure is a target to be reached by 2024.

This is a separate agreement to allocate at least 2% of GDP on military spending by 2024.

NATO has long been pushing for higher spending. At a summit in 2014, all members who were falling short promised to move toward the official target within a decade.

THIS is where cahoots is getting the "2024" BS. They "promised to MOVE TOWARD" doing their in a decade (from 2014)

Which is a separate goal for 2024. You simply don't understand how the NATO agreement works.

Europe becoming totally dependent upon Russia for energy is okay as long as we all become dependent on Russia in solidarity?

I told yall this months ago.

Democrats are children and need to be treated as such. Spank their asses and send them to bed without dessert when they misbehave.

It is BS. We've been covering for them for too long.

Trump has the guts to say it.

No it is NOT.

It has been the "goal" all along. The 2024 is the deadbeat's promise to get there by then after being called out in 2014 (over the next decade...we will work TOWARD doing what we promised we would have already done)

Need everyone talking about how bad it would be for Trump to sell out our democracy.

He opens the door, they walk through.

Germany isn't our ally. They never have been and never will.

Is that what we are proving? So, you have no problem with the strongest economic presence in Europe being 70% dependent upon Russian oil?
First answer that.

Now answer this:
How did we help Russia by letting Germany know they should not become dependent upon Russian oil?
