The media reactions, what people are posting on social media feeds, how politicians are acting, what things the shutdown impacts and to what extent...

These are mere hints as to what will happen if the economy crashes due to the government's continued high deficit spending and and failure to bring down the national debt.

This thread is so 2010. You economy guys crack me up. I have it on good authority that deficit spending and national debt are Euro-centric constructs meant to keep the (insert your group here) down.

Nancy is waiting on a crisis/emergency so she can have an excuse to end the shutdown.

That's not what the Dems are waiting for. They're waiting for a jet to crash or people to get poisoned by food that wasn't inspected. They are waiting for deaths.

his last official act should be to bankruptcy default on our international debt to other countries and restructure the national debt and after the dumpster fire we will be better off as a country with no international debt and an affordable nation debt that is manageable.

WTF do we have to lose? at some point it has to be done, no one can ever repay all the debt we have, that "is" what bankruptcy is for and he knows how to restructure debt

Who was the "accountant" I used to argue with back then who refused to believe the deficit issue was due to Congress spending too much but rather taxes just not being high enough?

I still feel sorry for whoever he works for.
